Linda has been writing since
she was a child. When she was 10 years old she decided she would like
to be a writer or an artist when she grew up. Like most writers though,
she held other jobs while continuing to write whenever she could find
the time.
Most recently she was a school
librarian and teacher, but she has also been a bookmobile librarian,
the co-owner of a family operated plant nursery, a secretary, a salesperson
for educational toys, and a waitress. Through it all she has continued
to write.
Like all writers, Linda loves
to read. She especially likes time travel stories. One day she was peering
in the window of a cluttered but charming antique shop. Unfortunately
it was closed, and of course that made her want to go inside even more
than if it had been open. And as so often happens with writers of fiction,
a story began to grow inside her head. And it grew and it grew and it
grew.
Her interest in antique shops
and spinning wheels coupled with her vivid imagination led her to write
The Time Bridge Travelers. And just like
you, she had to know more about where the Wilson kids would go on their
next journey in time. The second book in the series, The
Time Bridge Travelers and the Mysterious Map, is now available.
Linda is at work on the third book in the series, The Time
Bridge Travelers and the Time Travel Station, which is
due to be published in the fall of 2006..
