What’s the Big Idea? 4th Grade motivational writing program
Limited to 50 students per session

$350 (two one-hour programs: ½ day)
$1 per student, which provides each student with a pencil and mini-notebook.

Travel fees: Same as for school author visits, see map. Exception: Since two schools may schedule the same day (unlike author visits), those schools will share any travel expenses.

Get your 4th graders excited about writing! Schedule a special motivational writing program to encourage them to write before the 4th Grade TAKS test. Just as in Linda's author visits, students will get a glimpse of her rough drafts and will learn how ideas for stories and poems are all around them. A group writing exercise puts into practice the things they have learned. Using webbing, students will brainstorm to write original free verse poems, and in the process will learn how to add spark to their narrative writing as well!
